By downloading photos from The Stock Photos of Bendigo Locations and Events Gallery you have read and agree to follow the instructions of accreditation and usage outlined below.


Acceptable Usage

The Beautiful Bendigo Initiative is a royalty-free stock photo gallery set up by Photos of Bendigo to showcase how beautiful Bendigo is.
We encourage the use of our royalty-free, high-quality photos online and in print for the purpose of editorial referencing and or promoting local central victorian businesses and Bendigo based organisations.

Websites, Social Media and Online Presence.

You can use our royalty-free photos on your website, Facebook page or social media account as background display images or as informative content for your audience.

Examples of acceptable usage for online presence
  • Example – a shop based in Eaglehawk needed a background photo for their contact and about us page, and decides to use a photo of Lake Neangar from our online gallery.
  • Example – a real estate agency in Strahfieldsaye needed a photo of a nearby park to complete a listing for a home.
  • Example – a travel vlogger encourages their fans about riding the Bendigo Blues Tram and uses one of our photos in her story.
  • Example – a news outlet writes a historical article about a significant landmark and uses a modern-day photo from our gallery.

Printed copies and Physical Products

You can use our royalty-free photos for your community group or business if it involves promoting Bendigo as a livable city, a city that should be visited by tourists or encouraging participation in a community group.
You should not use our royalty-free photos explicitly for commercial gains, like selling postcards, calendars, or canvases.

Examples of acceptable usage for printed products
  • Example – a photo on a page of a book that is for a story that is significantly based in Bendigo or is about the city of Bendigo.
  • Example – a complimentary photo for a booklet about Bendigo or showcasing how Bendigo is a livable city.
  • Example – a brochure promoting participation in a community club

We recommend you alert us to the usage of our royalty-free photos in print.


Accreditation

To use our royalty-free photos you must provide accreditation to Photos of Bendigo in one of the following ways.

In writing Accreditation for Photos of Bendigo

You can express our name in one of two forms, acknowledging Photos of Bendigo for the royalty-free photos you used. Note the use of a dot in between Bendigo and Photos

Website and Digital Accreditation for Photos of Bendigo

You can use one of the two in writing forms of accreditation whilst also linking directly to our website, and or social media pages and or use the logo images provided.

If you are using multiple images or the images are for display purposes. Then the accreditation text and or logo does not need to be used on or next to each image. You can provide accreditation in the footer or in another section of the page, as long as accreditation is found on the page where the image is in use.

The size of the logo should not need to be less than 35 pixels in height.

Facebook Accreditation for Photos of Bendigo

You can choose to tag the image with our Facebook.

Photos of Bendigo reserves the usage right to refuse mass production and mass communication of our photos for advertising purposes solely associated with one business or entity.

Unacceptable Usage

Photos of Bendigo reserves the right to refuse and stop the reproduction and communication of our photos for the purpose of direct commercial gain.

Examples of unacceptable purposeful commercial gain
  • Resale of our photos on stock photo websites.
  • Sale of our photos for print on but not limited to canvas.
  • Sale of products explicitly featuring our photos on but not limited to postcards, mugs, and posters.

Photos of Bendigo reserves the right to refuse and stop the reproduction and communication of our royalty-free photos for false accreditation.

Examples of unacceptable false accreditation
  • Showing accreditation to an entity other than Photos of Bendigo or another person (except in special circumstances accrediting the original photographer, see legal statement)
  • Not showing any accreditation to Photos of Bendigo.
  • Miss spelling or miss handling of the correct accreditation.
  • Intentionally hiding accreditation in hard to see or difficult to reach places.

Photos of Bendigo reserves the right to refuse and stop the reproduction and communication of our royalty-free photos for passing off.

Examples of unacceptable passing off
  • Pretending to be or imitating to be, Photos of Bendigo
  • Making false statements about the usage or accreditation of images provided by Photos of Bendigo
  • Setting up imitation platforms for downloading images belonging to Photos of Bendigo

Dawn Service Bendigo

Captured the touching moments from the Dawn Veterans March, as our community stood together in reflection and gratitude. The Bendigo District RSL Sub-Branch held a poignant ANZAC Day Dawn Ceremony to commemorate the sacrifices made by Australian and New Zealand forces during the First World War and to honor those who have served and continue to serve in the Armed Forces.
